Testing new blog software
by kaydub on Mar.03, 2009, under Ramblings
Trying out new blogging software for my travel eeePC. Now trying Zoundry’s Raven beta, tried some others, they had various issues, and ended up not publishing. Wanted a blog client since I will be doing a mult8-week roadtrip to sxsw and back, and wanted to blog on the road, but, I won’t have full-time internet connectivity, so I wanted a client that would save up blog posts, then let me upload a batch. So, here’s the first test, if this works, will try a few more basics, want to get stuff all running before I head out, it’ll be a lot easier that way.

I can’t imagine you with a(n?) eeePC. The keyboards are tiny and you have big hands. I like the portability, the specs are fair, and there’s no beating the price. Do you use a pair of pencils to type?
Yesterday I walked past a Starbucks window and saw someone typing on one of them. He had an external WD hard drive plugged into the wall and it drarfed the eeePC. The guy looked silly typing away on that tiny thing.

It’s actually not so bad. Touch typing is possible, if you’re careful, and hunt-n-peck works fine. I wrote all the blog posts for the roadtrip on it, not bad. It isn’t a full-sized laptop, to be sure, but that’s good when you’re traveling!
